Some projects....

So, yesterday afternoon I got busy on my projects.  I got one finished (the makeup bag), one almost finished (doll quilt... just have to bind it) and one about half-way finished (the flowers... have to sew them together, add beads and attach to a barrett or whatever).  I still haven't found my camera, but as soon as I do, I will add pics here.  I also worked on cleaning up my work space.  That's going to take a while to accomplish (it's my computer/sewing/homeschooling/library room and it's not that big!). :)

ah ha! I remebered where my camera was!!  I had taken it in my "coupon bag" (don't ask) when I went shopping on Saturday, just in case I needed to get some pics developed. So, here are some pics:

These are all the materials I used to make my fabri flowers.
The Fabric is a lining fabric.

I still have to sew them together, but I think they turned out nicely.

This one was made with a fabric that my Nanny had leftover from a bridesmaid dress or something.
I think it is a satin, but I'm not sure. It burned/melted more than the lining fabric, but I don't hate it.
It also stiffened up more when heat was applied.  I have a yellow in the fabric that I'm going to try later.

My oldest daughter received a large pallette of eyeshadow (4" wide by 12" long) for Christmas and did not have a makeup case big enough.  She kept "complaining" of needing a bigger makeup bag, so I decided to try to make her one that fit what she needed.

This was a pre-quilted fabric that I had purchased just because I LOVED the colors!
I even did a zipper... can't remember the last time I braved a zipper.

This end fabric is the opposite side of the fabric.  I also added a little pull tab, so zipping it closed would be easier.  I have decided that I need to take apart the other end and add one there as well.

just the top view.
I belive my daughter was very happy with it... she filled it up 2 seconds after I finished it (even before I could get pics of it!). :)
